Painting materials a beginners guide

We are often asked to list the materials we use to produce our Canal Art. Below is a basic list to get you started. You will find that other painters have different preferences

We use Craftmaster decorative flat colour for our pieces. These are then overcoated with Craftmaster clear varnish to make them stand out.

we use several types of brushes but the preferred for us are sable chisel writer brushes from A S Handover. They are a lovely brush . For roses you should not need anything larger than a size 4
